Garden City, NY (October 1 , 2025) – The GEICO Local Office of New Hyde Park has been named the Presenting Sponsor of the Cross Country Championships for Section VIII of the New York State Public High School Association. The partnership will reinforce their commitment to supporting the community in which they serve, in and around Nassau County. In addition, The GEICO Local Office of New Hyde Park will have a presence throughout the year during championship events and will donate to local schools to support their athletics department.

Established in 1929, Section VIII is one of the eleven sections of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA). It is made up of 60-member high schools from Nassau County, NY. A member of the National Federation of State High School Associations, Section VIII Athletics conducts tournaments and crowns boys and girls champions in 33 sports.
