Garden City, NY (October 30, 2025) – Northwell Orthopedics has extended and expanded its long-standing partnership with Section VIII of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association for an additional three years. The expanded partnership will feature Northwell Orthopedics as the presenting sponsor of the Section VIII Football Championships. The partnership will also feature a Game of the Week presented by Northwell Orthopedics during the regular season to recognize athletic trainers and physicians in the community. The platform will also amplify Northwell Orthopedics’ commitment to supporting high school athletics and keeping athletes on the field. Their team of athletic trainers and doctors will continue to be a resource for the schools and community.

Established in 1929, Section VIII is one of the eleven sections of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA). It is made up of 60-member high schools from Nassau County, NY. A member of the National Federation of State High School Associations, Section VIII Athletics conducts tournaments and crowns boys and girls champions in 33 sports.
